In the sunny Val Venosta and in Burgraviato, farmers have always had to fight against drought and to this end special channels were built for transporting and distributing water as early as the twelfth century: the so-called irrigation canals. The paths have been preserved until today. A large part have been expanded and transformed into pleasant itineraries with reduced slopes.
The excursions along these routes are particularly evocative in spring, when nature awakens from the winter hibernation, while the mountains are still covered by a white blanket of snow, or in autumn, with landscapes ignited by a riot of colours.
