The Merano mountain scenery is so faceted and offers such a variety of landscapes that even who is not a fan will fall in love with hiking!

ROGGIA DI MARLENGO

The "Marlinger Waalweg" path is the longest ex-irrigation canal in South Tyrol and is only a 12-minute walk from Marlena. It is known as an ideal destination for dog walking and winds through the fairly flat paths of Monte di Marlengo passing through the villages of Foresta, Marlengo, Cermes and Castel Monteleone. Starting in Tel di Parcines and ending 12 km later, just before Lana, it can also be walked in stages. Your four-legged best friend can run happily between the green meadows and apple orchards.

ALTA VIA DI MERANO

The Tessa Group is a mountain range belonging to the Venetian Alps, to the northwest of Merano with several peaks of over 3,000 metres. The Alta Via was created in the early 1980s through the connection of several trails and is considered one of the greatest long-distance routes in the Alps.

NATURAL PARADISE MONTE SAN VIGILIO

Closed to traffic and reachable in few minutes from the nearby village of Lana with a cable car, Monte San Vigilio, our home mountain, opens the door to a true paradise in summer. Hiking tours, bike tours, paragliding flights or moments of absolute relaxation: everyone will find what they are looking for!

THE TAPPEINER WALK

Known far beyond South Tyrol's boundaries, the Tappeiner promenade in Merano offers a 6 km trail, characterized by rich Mediterranean vegetation. It takes its name from the doctor, botanist and anthropologist Franz Tappeiner (1816-1902), who funded its creation.
